Not-for-Profit on a mission to enrich the lives of community members by combating social isolation through a diverse array of arts, crafts and wellbeing sessions. We strive to foster a warm and inclusive environment for personal growth and connection.
Our Story
Amidst the chaos of the COVID-19 pandemic, something special emerged in Trimdon Grange, County Durham. In July 2020, Michelle Douglas-Allison, touched by the challenges faced by her community, decided to make a difference. Seeing how support often disappeared when funded activities ended, she saw an opportunity for lasting change.
With compassion and a vision for improvement, Michelle set out to create the Rose Cottage Community Hub. Her goal? A cosy spot where people could come together, find comfort, and connect, no matter what obstacles they faced. Inside, you'd find crafts, wellness workshops, and friendly faces, all weaving a sense of belonging and strength throughout the community.
Motivated by a desire to fight social isolation and lend a hand, Michelle's project wasn't just about the here and now—it was about building a better tomorrow. With each activity and every shared laugh, Rose Cottage Community Hub CIC evolved into more than just a location; it became a lifeline, offering hope and support to those navigating life's challenges.
